These are difficult and challenging times in which many people of faith feel drained and disheartened. Such disillusionment often arises when life becomes estranged from its source in times of unprecedented chaos like global institutional collapse, overwhelming natural disasters and profound climate change we experience today.
This Retreat offers you an opportunity to re-discover who you are in today’s world and re-awaken the powerful inner resource of Soul.
The emerging future of humanity will be realised not by repeating the experiences of the past, rather it unfolds through a shared transformational journey of emersion in the depths of Soul that facilitates a gradual opening of the Mind, Heart and Will.
In the peaceful setting of the Franciscan Friary and the spectacular backdrop of Donegal’s mountains and beaches you have an opportunity to journey with companions and reawaken the inner energies of Soul. In an atmosphere of silence the retreat inputs can be considered in the light of Gospel narratives and your own lived experience of Soul as a vital point of connection with God and others. This is further enhanced through the powerful support of daily meditation in common.
The retreat will introduce new perspectives on familiar things and new skills including:
- A creative connection to Soul as a profound source of unity in your daily life
- A deeper awareness of the attitudes, ways of thinking and habits that estrange you from Soul
- Specific daily habits or ‘tools for transformation’ that will help you to stay connected with this deepest sense of who you really are as a ‘bearer of Soul’
- A new way of engaging your companions in generative conversations with empathic listening that can transform your shared experience of Soul
